I love going here and getting a carton of Oatly for $11.49. I could go to Whole Foods or Star Market and get it for $5.49 but it just hits different paying more than double the normal price ¯ (ツ) ¯ View all feedback.
What Husang Lee doesn't like about Formaggio Kitchen:
Sunday Bbq is below mediocre. Mac and cheese was ok but the pasta was way overcooked and beaten. Coleslaw wasn 't really Coleslaw. Shredded cabbage with some vinegar and cumin and RAISINS... fried chicken was sad. Meat was probably not brined and breading was a bit burnt. Most disappointing 33 dollars spent in bbq . Went here for a cheese tasting class. I paid $80. I wasn’t expecting a charcuterie board, but also wasn’t expecting this… not worth $80 AT ALL. I could’ve bought all the cheeses they offered for less than $80 and would’ve had a real experience on my own. I’ve been to other cheese tasting places (specifically in Europe) and paid $20 for 2x the amount of food. Extremely overpriced for what it is.
I have been going here for years but hadn’t been for awhile…. I went yesterday and I would say this is probably the best specialty independent food store in the United States. I have been in the food business more than 40 years Made possible by their dream location which they certainly cater to. I can’t run back fast enough
Great selection, friendly staff, popped in on a lark to pick up pretzels and sweet mustard for Weißwurst, and they didn't disappoint!
All departments are fabulous! I especially appreciate the high quality of the fish and how knowledgeable the fish mongers and butchers are.
I bought a half pound of prosciutto at about 30 bucks a pound and could not even get a sandwich out of it! How is that possible? Well for starters the prosciutto was sliced thinner than the plastic that’s was used to keep the slices separated, which basically means that I paid a total of 30 bucks a pound for more plastic than prosciutto! That’s more like 60 bucks a pound for straight prosciutto! You could blame me for not requesting a thicker cut, which was what was said to me when I gently called the cheese counter to let them peacefully know!! I like the store but do not like the way it was handled. If you sell high end goods and charge high end prices then you should GIVE HIGH END SERVICE TO YOUR CUSTOMERS. Ill make sure I demand it the next time.
