The same chef has been making the steaks for a very long time and is a master at it. I started with an appetizer of steak tartar. That was prepared...table side and it was delicious. My main course was a filet that was prepared exactly as ordered. My date had a gluten free dairy free prime rib roast that she enjoyed. We found a BC sparkling wine to accompany our dinner. The service was excellent. Garth, the manager, has an excellent sense of humour and made the experience very pleasant.

While we need the next stage for t... read more Alberta opened to stage of the reopening so we could patronize restaurants that we enjoy. Our first visit was to Wellingtons. While we need the next stage for table side dishes like steak tartare and chaser salad, Wellingtons had a full menu and full...wine list. We found a champagne to match our celebration at being free to go out again. Our server, Ola, had a very friendly and positive attitude and that enhanced the visit. I had Oysters Rockefeller and my wife started with a smoked salmon appetizer. Both were flavourful and delicious and well presented. For mains I had a large filet and my wife had the prime rib. Now Wellingtons is a place for good steak! The beef was done precisely as requested and was so delicious. Now that Wellingtons is back we will be back to celebrate other occasions, Calgary needs good restaurant gems like Wellingtons to thrive.

Masks, properly spaced seating in addition to the service provided by Denis V were OUTSTANDING. Well Done and Very Much Appreciated!...So nice to have a wonderful evening while feeling safe. We will DEFINITELY be back!
