Wanted something healthy and different last night. So came here. And had the YYC contest entry burger they're submitting. OMG it was amazing. The cook gave me some tips on how to reheat it knowing that it was take out. Overall very impressed. View all feedback.
What Miles Wyman doesn't like about The Main Dish:
The other day went for lunch and had the Ahi Tuna over wild rice and roasted asparagus. The rice and asparagus was cold. Sent it back for reheating and came back not any better. The rice was also chewy with hard bits in it, thereby...not a pleasant eating experience. This was a meal. The server offered a desert in place, wrong. Their menu sounds really good and I had high hopes for this place.
Stopped in here when we were going for coffee in Bridgeland and ended up getting food instead of coffee but the coffee bar looked to have a pretty decent
The Main Dish used to be a passable alternative to nearby brunch standouts: Blue Star Diner, Diner Deluxe and OEB, etc.
I love this place! The laid back, yet clean and nice environment makes for a comfortable time, every time. The staff are always friendly in my and my friends' interactions with them when I visit and the reviews from friends who I've introduced to the place, have always been great. I love the healthier and more balanced food options that are available here, along with the variety offered. I think it's great that they support local businesses with their food sourcing and appreciate the different way of serving that is used here. You can take your time deciding what to order, write it down on a sheet of paper and then as soon as you're ready to put in an order, just bring it to the counter and the kitchen will quickly prepare your meal and have it brought to your table. This is also a great option for grab and go meals and meal compliments, such as tasty appetizers, delicious desserts, nutritious juices and more. I would highly recommend this place for anyone interested in a refreshing choice for good food/fuel that tastes great too! :
This is a neet little place.... Two different grill going... In the center they have a really good salad bar and pasta's you can take home to warm up in the oven. The wine bar is stocked with about 10 top picks... 2-3 beers on tap... And top end beers in the coolers... But No Stella :
