This is by dar the best Italian restaurant in Calgary! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner
Lovely spot but we sure didn't enjoy. Very high wine by the glass price and inconsistent pours, some very small. No napkins with our food. Appetizer was not good and waiter asked when we're virtually finished, offered another, but we weren't interested. Not an appropriate solution for the problem. The bottle of olive oil provided with the amazing foccacia was terrible. Very low in the bottle, perhaps rancid. When I explained to the waiter why I left a small tip, (it was actually commensurate with his service) he was clearly not pleased me with me. To me it looks like they are riding on their reputation. There are many better choices for Italian food so over it wonderful city. My suggestion is to try them. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–60
Had a great time there. I had the 3 course lunch menu, surprisingly my favorite was butternut squash soup. It was perfectly seasoned and tasted delicious. The main course, the braised beef chuck, was also quite good. I wasn’t a big fan of the dessert though, didn’t really like the black sesame crust and it overall wasn’t very sweet. But the experience there was great. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $50–60
