Stopped in enroute to formal function Sat eve for drinks/appis (to tide us over till a late super). Place not too busy, staff & mgr indifferent demeanour; seated at bar. :-(. Bartender served us & was cordial, efficient & food arrived quick, was tasty though tad skimpy on bruschetta portion. Pricing typical of location. Restrooms need work. I highly recommend trying the chiefs choice " Peasent Dinner ". The whole table has to order this three course fixed price dinner. Our server asked if we had any dietary considerations they should know about but after that the courses are not revealed until they arrive at your table. The menus changes frequently so I am not spoiling the surprise for anyone. Our first course was prosciutto topped with grilled asparagus and a drizzle of citrus balsamic vinaigrette. Second course a croquette stuffed with mozzarella, beef and rice in a puddle of beefy tomatoe sauce that had a little kick to make it interesting. Last course was a delicious porchetta still with its crispy crackling served with roasted root vegetables and a celery root purée. The quality and presentation of the food was first class and at 29 Canadian dollars a head it was an absolute bargain.

Hello everyone. We figured that if a restaurant has been open for business for 15 years and made it through our recession it has to be good. We were not disappointed food wise and found they were very attentive and punctual with our food and drinks. We had the calamari as an appetizer. This was deep fried in a some what spicy ( heat wise ) batter and served with a tomato based dipping sauce. This was very good. My main course consisted of pappardelle pasta mixed with a garlic cream sauce accompanied by mushrooms and three very nice large prawns. Excellent. My wife had the spaghetti carbonara which she enjoyed. We did however find it strange that an Italian restaurant would not serve bread with the meal or come around asking if we would like Parmesan cheese etc. We had to ask for this. The only other issue we had was with a party of 8 women celebrating the impending marriage of one of the girls. Ummm that would be the one dressed as Wonder Woman. Yup that's right. Anyways holy cow it was very loud and almost hard to enjoy your meal.I would like to go back when the atmosphere would be a little bit more subdued. I would recommend this place for the food.
A recent dinner at Sugo did not quite live up to expectations. The restaurant itself is very nicely appointed and the service was good. At the same time, the menu was not extensive and the service was a little slow. Our group of three tried different pasta dishes - all were good but not outstanding. The salad was nice. Parking was available outside the door.
