We have spoken about our Five Guys encounters on various occasions for TripAdvisor.This was our first visit to the one on 130 Ave. (Shepherd area), in Calgary. What a nice welcome and big smile from Nenita, our order taker/cashier. The food was as good as usual and the cola, while certainly not food, was as good as it should be.A couple of comments......turn down the music. I come to eat and visit with my guests, not attend a concert...get rid of the U.S. publication quotes all over the walls which extol the virtues of 5Gs. Yo! We are in Canada. If you can't find Canadian publications to quote, then pull stuff from TripAdvisor and use that. But does it really matter? I have never seen anyone but myself reading those restaurant reviews (many of which are years old!).

We first had Five Guys in Miami so we were excited when they finally opened a store in Calgary. They maintained the same rugged decor like those in the US stores. We eat here when we want to treat ourselves with a designer burger and lots of roasted peanuts! The service is always good and fast.

Peanuts in the shell, big fries in a bag and really delicious burgers! You choose the variety of toppings that you want on your burger. Nice atmosphere with very friendly staff and great cooks.

The burgers and fresh fries more than make up for the fairly bare seating area. Tons of toppings included in the price and the cheese was delicious ????. Snack on peanuts during the short wait for your order.

Food is always good. These are my favorite burgers. The service was way quicker than other times and the staff were friendly. The only thing I often notice is that the place is dirty, the tables were dirty, there was a drink spilled on the floor, it wasgetting dried and sticky so I imagine that it was there for a while. It's not an appealing place to dine in.
