The chef is incredibly passionate and creative. Our experience at the restaurant was excellent - everything we tried was delicious. The flavors in all of our dishes were both unique and tasty.
We arrived just in time before the restaurant was about to close after picking up my husband from the airport. We were just looking to grab some dessert. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted.
This was the first time I visited a Sri Lankan restaurant in Calgary and was pleased to find that they served several popular signature Sri Lankan dishes like egg hoppers, string hoppers, kothu, fish cutlets as well as desserts like Vattilappam, all served asthetically and accompanied by appropriate condiments.
I concur with the other reviewers! The restaurant has a charming atmosphere with lovely decorations, and the server was extremely attentive and well-informed.
I have never has Sri Lankan food prior to visiting Cuisine Cinnamon. I am now a big fan. The kottu is delicious. And the prices are very reasonable. Our host also took time to explain our various options, suggested how we might modify based on our preferences. They have vegetarian options, gluten free options, and a kid's menu. We all left very happy.
