I found the sweet... read more Had some delivery from this place at my inlaws. Ordered the combo for 6.<br/ <br/ Beef broccoli and the salt pepper squid were both very good. I found the sweet sour pork too sweet. Ginger beef was ok. Chicken balls spring rolls were too greasy for me. The wor wonton soup was very good. Loved the tasty wontons.<br/ <br/ The delivery man came back about 30 minutes after delivery and brought another container of soup. Apparently, it was an error they made and part of the combo order. <br/ <br/ Overall, not bad for western Chinese delivery in the area. The food tasted fresh service was good.

Ordered the same thing I am trying at the other restaurants and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised<br/ <br/ Ginger fried beef: has this delightful hint of BBQ that I've never had before and it had a slight kick. <br/ <br/ Palace style chicken: sauce was quite tasty, not the same sweet and sour **** some other restaurants use. Chicken tasted just fine. Had crunchy carrots and green peppers mixed in, a welcome addition<br/ <br/ Shanghai noodles: had a nice spicy kick to it. Will have to eat the leftovers and decide if I'll order it again. Not the best I've had but certainly not the worst. <br/ <br/ Hot and sour soup: the only negative is that there are peas in the soup. : but there are shrimp and lots of tasty goodness packed in<br/ <br/ S/s chicken balls were free with the order. The chicken was tasty but the breading was too much, I'll try chicken fried rice next time because there certainly will be a next time. YAY! Finally found a keeper!<br/ <br/ <br/ Update: <br/ <br/ Ginger fried beef was still awesome and I thought I'd try 3 new dishes. <br/ <br/ Salt and pepper squid, really rather good but eat it all quickly when you get home. It quickly cools and becomes rather gross. <br/ <br/ Satay beef Shanghai noodle, the beef was very tender and amazing but the dish overall had no spice so I hardly ate any of it and will use Frank's or saracha to make it palatable. Won't be ordering again<br/ <br/ Chicken fried rice was not cooked like I've had it cooked before and wasn't thrilling so my dog and I shared a bit and will reheat with vegetables and spice to make another meal out of it. Won't be ordering again

Other times I would let the... read more Big portions, great food, awesome prices!. I have been ordering from there for a long time. Sometimes I would walk over and pick up. Other times I would let them deliver. The restaurant is very clean and the staff are very friendly. If you sit and wait, you will feel quite comfortable. The food is always well cooked and the portion sizes are always quite generous. Prices are very competitive but August Moon has the edge since you get more food for the money than most of the other places and it always tastes great. I always order the ginger beef. I do like the taste but a few times I have gotten an awful lot of peppers and onions instead of ginger beef. When I order again, I will ask for fewer veggies and more ginger beef. True, they could put a few bucks into the outside of the building but it isn't at all run down it's just not all polished chrome and glass, that's all. It is Haysboro after all. A nice but older neighbourhood. The place has been around for 30 years. Seriously, give it a try...you will be glad you did.

We have been looking for a good Chinese restaurant close to home and decided to give this one a try. The food was flavorful, freshly made, and there was plenty of it. We will definitely be ordering from here again!
