The restaurant serves as a training ground for hospitality and culinary students to hone their skills in cooking, wine pairing, and handling real-life dining scenarios. The Pittwater has been recognized for its excellence, winning the Restaurant and Catering Association's best training restaurant award in 2013, and being a finalist in 2012 and 2014. In addition, The Pittwater proudly received the Tourism, Hospitality, and Catering Institute of Australia's President Training Award in 2018.

The food at this restaurant is consistently amazing, with the staff working extremely hard to provide exceptional service under the watchful eye of their dedicated trainers. Overall, it was an awesome experience that I would highly recommend to everyone.
We absolutely adore this restaurant, which is primarily run by students in training. The chefs, typically in their second year or higher, are exceptional and often supervised by experienced professionals. The food is consistently delicious, and the desserts are especially fantastic. While the waitstaff and front of house team may be a bit shy and are still learning, they are very sweet and eager to improve. Overall, this is a wonderful opportunity to support young individuals pursuing a career in hospitality. Additionally, the meals offered are a great value.
The dining experience was great, the atmosphere was beautiful, the staff were helpful, and we had a relaxed evening. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
