I have often eaten and reserved at a walter to take family to dinner that were in town. our table was ready as soon as we arrived and (as usual) the service and... read more I have often eaten and reserved at a walter to take family to dinner that were in town. our table was ready as soon as we arrived and (as usual) the service and the ambiente were great. the pork chop was delicious and the Jalapeño grooms were also. my mother never eats or commands burger, saw the table next to us ordering and was inspired to do the same. she has commented twice since how much she enjoyed it, which is probably one of the highest compliments I could think of (for a burger).

The food was delicious, and the staff were warm and friendly to both my 11-month-old baby and my 79-year-old mother. The oysters were tasty, although a bit on the pricey side, and they serve some of the best fried chicken in Brooklyn (though I still think Brooklyn Bowl/Blue Ribbon has the edge). The cocktail menu was a hit with the adults as well. My mom thoroughly enjoyed her French Dip, and my fisherman's stew was just what I needed as I'm recovering from a cold.
