Was Jenny C at Wasan Brooklyn a mag?
The food here is fantastic! I took my mom for a weekday lunch date, and she was thoroughly impressed. We ordered two bento boxes—one with eel and the other with miso salmon—and each came with miso soup, a side salad, a hard-boiled egg, a vegetable spring roll, two pieces of fried sweet potatoes, a few pieces of eggplant, and what I believe was burdock root. The BBQ eel was especially delicious, and you could tell it... View all feedback.
What James A dislikes about Wasan Brooklyn:
I had a few objections.Service was extremely slow at 530 on a Thursday. The fried chicken was bad. Chewy on the inside and an unpleasant aftertaste. The sushi and rice bowl was very heavy on the rice and had not so much fish. Possibly it's even the appropriate amount of fish, it just looks bad in comparison to a whole cup of rice. View all feedback.
Wasan Brooklyn is a warm and inviting restaurant that offers a varied menu. The food is incredibly tasty, and the staff is exceptionally friendly. Conveniently situated near Barclays Center, it’s an ideal place to enjoy a meal before an event. If I lived closer, I would definitely be a regular here. This will definitely be my top choice whenever I attend an event at Barclays.
I had a wonderful dining experience at a quiet, well-managed restaurant. The $29.90 three-course meal was outstanding, complemented by an amuse bouche and soup. The service was excellent. We chose to dine here before heading to a Celine Dion concert at the Barclays Center, and I can say I’ll definitely be coming back just for the restaurant. It truly is a great hidden gem.
This restaurant is one of our favorite spots for brunch. My husband, who is Japanese, really appreciates the authentic flavors of the food. The yellowtail and salmon cheeks are always outstanding choices!
Excellent Japanese restaurant! I enjoyed everything I tried! Food: 5/5
I've been wanting to visit Wasan for a long time, and today I finally had lunch there, ordering the Sashimi Bento Box. The service was quick and friendly, and while the Miso soup was decent, the Bento Box itself looked fantastic. The rice salad was delicious, and everything was tasty—except for the fish. Unfortunately, the fish was just average, and the yellowtail had a rather strong fishy smell. Overall, I don't think I'll be returning due to the experience with the fish. What a shame!
