Was Mila Vaquero at Popolo a mag?
It was wonderful. Very attentive staff. My colleagues turned up quite late, my fault really.. I should have accounted for rush hour and parking in such a popular location. The food was nice, my favourite was the tiramisu cake. Melts in your mouth. Service was quick considering we all ordered mains quite late into the booking and still managed to finish on 7. Will return, but this time with better planning around time... View all feedback.
What RoyC dislikes about Popolo:
Our fourth and last time going to this restaurant, have given it too many times to get it right but it keep’s disappointing. Went to celebrate my mothers birthday, put in the notes area asking for a window seat and celebrating a birthday and nothing! Got a **** seat with view of the toilet block and no acknowledgement of my mothers birthday. Food was passable, waited over 30 mins for the mains to come out with starte... View all feedback.
One of, if not the, best dining I've ever had! Food: Was delicious, very very happy. Price was reasonable. Great location looking out over the river.
Last minute afternoon tea/lunch celebration bought us to this wonderful restaurant. We arrived right at kitchen close between courses, but we were not turned away or hassled. We were greeted with enthusiasm and honesty. We were given a great and comfortable table with fabulous views of the Brisbane river. The venue is lovely and open and for the chillier days has lovely warmth radiating from the heaters scattered around. The service was prompt and friendly. The meals were delicious. Deserts also delicious. Sadly I did not take photos as we tuckered in too quickly. A lovely Sunday afternoon. Looking forward to a return visit. Wonderful.
Hands down the best Italian I have ever had. The staff were so friendly! We had Katia as our server, she was super attentive and bubbly, it was such a pleasure to have her. The food arrived very quickly, and my gosh it was delicious. The restaurant is situated in such a lovely spot right on the river. Absolutely no faults whatsoever. Will be returning for sure.
Racism is still a significant issue in Australia. We arrived at the restaurant two consecutive nights, more than an hour before closing time. On the second night, a white customer was given preferential treatment...
