Everything is focused on getting in the maximum number of people each night in the minimum possible time and this was a Wednesday night. This includes cramming strangers uncomfortably close to one another at the communal table despite there being dozens of vacant seats; and telling people they need to wait for a table to increase alcohol consumption in the holding pen outside. I requested a 6pm reservation but they said only 5.30 was possible, (despite there being hardly anyone there at 6pm).Then the email confirmation listing all the rules. Arrive 15 minutes early, vacate table within two hours etc. etc. We had no trouble complying with the latter, given 5 dishes (2 courses and rice for two people) were all served within 15 minutes of being seated and one was inedibly salty and left uneaten.
