The restaurant has received mixed reviews from customers. Some have complained about the slow service, lacklustre food quality, and even getting sick after eating there. However, others have praised the affordable prices and decent food options, especially recommending the roasted duck with kailan. The outdoor seating area is also highlighted as a nice feature. Overall, the restaurant seems to have a loyal customer base but may have experienced some inconsistencies in recent years.

Really tasty food at great value prices. Fish in chilli broth was delicious and spicey. I ordered as a take away on this occasion and sat down and a beer while I waited for it to be cooked. Lots of choice, well worth a visit. Has a nice little outdoor area too. View all feedback.
What Jane A dislikes about Jackpot Dining:
I’ve eaten at the CBD Jackpot previously and it was great, but tonight at the west end restaurant was awful. The dumplings wre lukewarm at best, and the “crispy Mongolian beef strips” were so soggy nothing at all crispy about them, nothing. A big soggy mess that I threw in the bin. What a disappointment View all feedback.
Very nice staff and clean restaurantHowever, unfortunately our experience here was awful.
I've been here a few timesThe serving portions are rather large for the priceI like that it is licensed and BYO (corkage).
My partner and I have been here a couple of times recently, it's definitely our go-to cheap diner.
Reasonable food and service and drinks. This place has limited indoor seating but outdoor seating is covered if its raining. A good standard range of foods and drinks including bubble tea and roasts. Standard cantonese food, on a budget and reasonable portion. Would recommend the noodle dishes or the roasts with rice. Overall it comes highly recommended for a day to day meal lunch or dinner. Not m8uch else you could ask for. Bring friends and family or fly solo. Won't be disappointed. Sometimes there is a bit too much soy but wouldn't let this stop you from trying out this staple. Boundary is just across the road, so you have your choice of east or west, and at the least you have a good view/of how the other side is going. See how you feel on the day, but if your after some university nostalgia or quick post shift feed, look no further. Parking or bike parking is near by or across the road near the village complex.
The best Singapore noodles and salt and pepper squid I have had in several years. Large serves and excellent service. Highly recommended.
