3.8 / 5 (93 reviews)

Description

The restaurant has received mixed reviews from customers. Some have complained about the slow service, lacklustre food quality, and even getting sick after eating there. However, others have praised the affordable prices and decent food options, especially recommending the roasted duck with kailan. The outdoor seating area is also highlighted as a nice feature. Overall, the restaurant seems to have a loyal customer base but may have experienced some inconsistencies in recent years.

Two things that West End is not short of are cafes and restaurants. It's what make this eclectic suburb so vibrant. Living locally and spoilt for choice, 'The Jackpot' has become a favourite when we want a takeaway or need to stop off on our way home for a quick and nutritious meal. We have always found the staff to be quick, friendly and efficient with a 10-15 min turnaround time even during busy slots eg early evening. The Mongolian Beef and Prawn with Vegetables with Rice are consistently enjoyable.

I was next door at The Bearded Lady for a function and as they don't serve food I thought I would go to the closest place I could find. We ordered Salt and Pepper Calamari as a starter and BBQ pork and BBQ duck with rice as a main. This was enough for two people and under $20. The service was prompt, the staff were lovely and the venue was spotlessly clean. I have dined many times in Sunnybank which is a high density Asian community and this restaurant is one of the best I have been too.Yum Yum

I could not tell you how many times that I have been to Jackpot Dining in West End. I have always loved the food and service. One thing that I would love to point out is the sheer speed in which they cook and serve your food, it is phenomenal. Thank you

Reasonable food and service and drinks. This place has limited indoor seating but outdoor seating is covered if its raining. A good standard range of foods and drinks including bubble tea and roasts. Standard cantonese food, on a budget and reasonable portion. Would recommend the noodle dishes or the roasts with rice. Overall it comes highly recommended for a day to day meal lunch or dinner. Not m8uch else you could ask for. Bring friends and family or fly solo. Won't be disappointed. Sometimes there is a bit too much soy but wouldn't let this stop you from trying out this staple. Boundary is just across the road, so you have your choice of east or west, and at the least you have a good view/of how the other side is going. See how you feel on the day, but if your after some university nostalgia or quick post shift feed, look no further. Parking or bike parking is near by or across the road near the village complex.

The best Singapore noodles and salt and pepper squid I have had in several years. Large serves and excellent service. Highly recommended.
