Glee Fu - Brisbane
Glee Fu
Description
A recent visit to this restaurant revealed a slightly chaotic experience in terms of service and food production. It was difficult to determine the type of cuisine being served, with dishes like XLB and fish with pickled vegetables lacking authenticity. There were missteps with items like chitterlings being overdone and dried. However, the fish dish stood out as the most authentic and tasty option. The menu may be too broad for the kitchen staff to handle effectively. Another diner had a disappointing experience, facing long waits and issues with sauce leakage. On a more positive note, the restaurant is popular for its affordable lunch specials. Dishes like Fried Flat Rice Noodles and Won Ton Egg Noodles received mixed reviews, while the Cold Tofu with spicy chili and preserved egg was a standout. Overall, this casual eatery offers great value for money with lovely staff and authentic Sichuan food.

Had lunch in this restaurant last Thursday. it was slightly chaotic with regard to service and food production. ordered a desired suppe, hot acid suppe, xlb, panfried knorpen and fish with plastered vegetables. we couldn't determine what kind of kitchen this restaurant serves. xlb could be near the Taiwanese style, but the baked was too thick and the emptying was extra big. both suppe were average but not authentic. the dish of the carving was a bit to cheat, served with the half of the plate, the Chinese fried brotstick and the shitter were all overdoned and dried. fish should be the most authentic and tasty dish among all. I think management should think...read more
Very authentic seuan eating. I ordered the most traditional Sichuan food shredded boar, and it was fantastic. it is located near the railway station milton. very easy to take a bus and train from uq.
Maybe it's the stingiest Chinese restaurant in the whole of British. I will not deny that eating is not bad at all. but are they serious? are they no longer allowed to go to lunch? Plus supplement for tap payment and no air cone throughout the summer.
A very disappointing experience. to recommend a friend to take 5:20 clock before the time and wait for another 25 minutes. there were no excuses from the personal, only an empty face. before I came to the car, I was confronted with the leak of the soße and the hot suppe that pours out the plastic bag. a real scandal!
This restaurant has been open for three months and is popular at lunchtime with dozens of rice and noodle specials at $10/serve. Our meal is served after a 15 minute wait. The Fried Flat Rice Noodles Beef 10) is quite average. Far too much oil in this dish and the wok wasn't sufficiently hot to impart that essential smokey flavour onto the noodles. Rating: 3.0/5.0 Phuong Tran enjoyed her Won Ton Egg Noodles 10). The broth was ordinary and won tons were small but very tasty. Rating: 3.5/5.0 The Cold Tofu 6.90) with a spicy chilli and preserved egg topping was my favourite dish. A pity it was chilled a touch too cold. Rating: 4.0/5.0 The Shallot Pancake 4.90) and Fried Pork ..read more
