Esquire - Brisbane
Esquire
Description
Esquire restaurant in Brisbane has received mixed reviews from diners. Some have been left disappointed by the food, finding it lacking in flavor and overall quality. The service has also been criticized for being unfriendly and disorganized. Some diners have praised the unique techniques used on Australian ingredients, while others have found the dishes hit and miss. The setting overlooking the river and open kitchen have been highlighted as positives. Overall, it seems that while some diners have had a wonderful experience at Esquire, others have found it to be underwhelming compared to previous visits or other dining options in Brisbane.

I've been to esquire only twice but have thoroughly loved my experience each time. The food is interesting and outstanding. The service is always attentive but without being overbearing. The decor is modern but still comfortable. With views over the Brisbane River and story bridge, it's got so much going for it. We had the benefit of sitting 6 at a round table which was great for conversation. Can't wait to go back.
The degustation set menu including paired wines was absolutely incredible. I can say without hesitation that was the most phenomenal dining experience I've had the pleasure of enjoying so far. Look up their prices before booking so you know what you're in for, but if the price is right then you can bet the food will be sensational.
Absolutely amazing experience. Thank you to Matthew and all the team, what can we say? Booked ahead thanks to a Good Food Guide Voucher which meant we discovered Esq. from the website. Excellent location, ultra clean, great design language and open kitchens. All staff attentive and friendly, a pleasure to be in their restaurant as their guests. And the food, masterful work from everyone on the pans, can really taste the thought and energy put in to each dish. We dined alacart. Big wine selection and other great drinks available. We went hard eating way more than the doctor probably says is good, but couldn't stop, the coal fired taste on the grill smelled amazing even after we were done! We support sustainable venues and this is one factor that had us book and we were rewarded or the idea from head chef to serve such items. A buzzing venue with amazing views day to night, plenty of parking at Emirates House so coming and going is great. My new and hopefully remains the favourite dining out venue, and we don't go often so something special matters and this is it. Thank you again to all who worked Saturday 24th Feb. See you again soon, hope you read this review and try here yourself.
They have the best lunch time degustation menu! Beautiful food combinations, excellent service
Great value lunch. Yes, I know its just the other side of esquire but the dining experience IS different so I thought Id write a review. Had a midweek lunch with a friend and it was great! Wagyu and kim-chee was lovely...the grilled wagyu main (for $30!! was sublime. My friend had the gyoza (Good and the sandcrab dish...cant remember...solid....we shared the 'popcorn ' dessert...wondrous is the adjective that comes to mind. Lovely wines as recommended by staff, great service and given the context and quality of the meal, we left feeling happy and not at all ripped off. The portions are not huge...but go to the pub if you are after volume...I for one appreciated being able to have 3...read more
