Nestled discreetly in a basement, Baedeker offers a captivating blend of charm and sophistication, featuring stone floors, brick walls, and plush leather sofas. This cozy wine bar boasts an impressive wine menu, complemented by tempting cheese and charcuterie options. The highlight is undoubtedly the Maxwell Smart bookcase, which leads to an enchanting private dining room, adding a sense of intrigue. While the selection of wines by the glass could be broader, attentive staff and intimate atmosphere make it a go-to spot for any occasion. Whether for tastings, events, or casual visits, Baedeker truly deserves its rising popularity.

My favourite drinking spot in Brisbane. Excellent fit out, the Maxwell Smart bookcase which leads to a large private dining room and really helpful staff. You cannot go wrong. I hope this place is hugely successful as it thoroughly deserves it.
It can be a bit challenging to locate since it’s situated downstairs through the parking lot, but that adds to its charm. The atmosphere is warm and intimate. The knowledgeable wine expert helped us explore the various options (they offer both red and white!), which made for a fantastic experience, especially as a complete novice in the world of wine.
