The Boardwalk offers a top-notch aquarium, amusement rides, arcades, and a wide range of dining options, from classic sausage sandwiches to sushi. We visited during the summer with my granddaughter, and she's still raving about it. What Eugene T dislikes about River Park Drive:
Note this is a private beach and they can and do refuse entry. Was not a fan of having my bags searched like they were TSA. Dirty hands moving my kids sandwiches around looking for bottles. No hard coolers allowed however once you are on the beach you will see plenty of large coolers as well as selective enforcement of beach tents. The Jersey shore is my sanctuary! This is a beautiful beach to enjoy with your family! Board walk, aquarium, rides for young children, food games! Seasonal events to celebrate holidays and have fireworks in the summer. Enjoy the gorgeous sunrise! Metered parking Or paid parking lots Season beach passes or pay for the day passes

We visited during the summer with my granddaughter, and she's still raving about it. Point Pleasant Beach, a charming family seaside town, truly lives up to its name with its mile-long boardwalk along the Atlantic Ocean. This area features Jenkinson's Boardwalk Amusements, a funhouse, a Victorian ice cream parlor, four arcades, gift shops, and various games of chance. Everyone over the age of 12 must have a badge to access the attractions. Single-day badges are available for just $1 from the lifeguards, while seasonal badges are $15 and senior badges are $10, both of which can be obtained at Boro Hall.

Be very cautious when parking in Point Pleasant Beach! I received a $100 parking ticket for not properly positioning my car within the designated parking space. It seems that my right rear tire was slightly over the white line. There's an ordinance in Point Pleasant Beach that states vehicles must be parked within the designated lines (9-3A.2). Initially, I thought the ticket was issued because I hadn't placed my parking receipt on my dashboard. After paying over $3 for a one-hour parking spot, the kiosk failed to provide me with a receipt. So, how are they supposed to verify that I paid for my parking when their kiosks don’t print receipts? The lack of maintenance is unacceptable in my opinion. They should be penalized for that!
I had a disappointing experience at this beach. They charge $14 for adults and don’t offer any senior discounts. To make matters worse, they expect you to leave by 5:30 PM, which seems unreasonable. The boardwalk is filled with sugary treats like cotton candy and stuffed animals, but there’s no decent food, and the staff were quite rude. The food signs are tacky, reminiscent of Las Vegas, and there’s really no reason to visit this place. Next time, I’ll definitely choose Asbury; it’s so much better. There are just too many rules here, and honestly, ever since they got rid of Jenkinson's lovely saltwater pool, it’s lost all its charm. The boardwalk feels cheap and uninviting. Plus, if swimming in the ocean isn’t allowed, it would be nice to know that before paying to enter the beach!
