We came for lunch on a Sunday in a calm and pleasant atmosphere. The owner or manager was very welcoming. However, two things bothered us: We ordered a vegetari... read more We came for lunch on a Sunday in a calm and pleasant atmosphere. The owner or manager was very welcoming. However, two things bothered us: We ordered a vegetarian Frenchy Burger. The waitress told us that the steak and bacon were vegetarian, which was fine. However, when the burger arrived (lukewarm), there was no bacon. We tried to get the waitress's attention (with some difficulty) when we pointed out that there was no bacon in the burger. She confirmed this and explained that the kitchen was out of vegetarian bacon. This can happen, but the least you could do is mention it when serving the dish and offer an alternative to replace the missing ingredient. Especially when you charge €2 for the extra ingredient. I don't think you planned a €2 discount on the bill to compensate for the missing ingredient in our burger… The sweet potato fries need improvement; they were far too greasy, but not in a good way—they were oily.
