Mcgills - Bray
Mcgills
Description
Nestled within a stunning hotel, McGills Bar and Restaurant offers a mixed dining experience for guests. While some have enjoyed attentive service and a cozy atmosphere reminiscent of an Irish pub, others have found the food and cleanliness lacking. Dishes like the battered cod and Jenga chips fell short of expectations, with repeated issues of incorrect orders and poorly cleaned tables. Nonetheless, specialty items and afternoon teas garner positive remarks, and the dedicated staff strive to provide a memorable atmosphere. Despite the critiques, many appreciate the overall luxury of the hotel, promising a worthwhile visit.

Always a lovely experience to eat here. I find your food delicious. The scenery is beautiful. The baby horses running in the fields. Simply beautiful. I appreciated the fresh water drinking tap outside that allowed me to refill my water supplies on campervan trip.
I have never had such great customer service! Been looking everywhere for these earrings from Avoca and Cara and her colleague looked over the store for them. After not finding them, she told me she would have then transferred from another store for me and email me when they were available. The Avoca customer service is fantastic!
Worth a visit for the café salads alone! Fab spot on a dry Saturday to bring your Avoca lunch out onto the terrace overlooking the gardens, and watch the black-tie wedding style folks!
Scenic and characterful location but food overpriced €47 for 1 tea, 1 coffee and 2 sausage rolls
