Was User at The Woolpack a mag?
My daughter requested food for her birthday treat from here last night and we were not disappointed! One of the best pizzas she's ever tasted she said... And we couldn't believe the size of a really good' chicken kebab! Friendly and fast service... We will definitely be back for more! Thank you Team. View all feedback.

We ate here for Sunday lunch and the food was lovely. The portions were very generous and it was a lovely surprise that children under 10 ate for free! Everything we ate was very nice and the service was good.
Popped in to this lovely pub for food a few drinks. What a lovely atmosphere food was fantastic was made to feel very welcome locals was watching rugby staff where amazing will definitely be returning
Popped into this lovely village pub on Saturday. Great beers on tap, really nice atmosphere and will definitely be coming back.
Great pub, lovely open fire, hotel rooms are beautiful! Came for a night stay and drinks then went to the sister restaurant! Would recommend
Had really mixed reviews of the Woolpack. First time I went the food was excellent (although the dog that lives there did pee on my jacket)… I then returned in summer with my family and had the most indescribably horrible kebab of my life. There are some odd people that go this pub a lot and there seems to be rife drug use
The Woolpack is a historic building with a disappointing atmosphere and inconsistent pricing, leading to a negative experience for guests looking to enjoy a meal or drink. Although the establishment offers takeout services with fantastic kebabs and burgers, the dining experience in-house was subpar due to unseasoned vegetables and tough meat dishes. The staff, while accommodating to some, have been reported to make insensitive comments to disabled patrons. Despite some positive feedback regarding the decor and beverages, overall, the Woolpack seems to have room for improvement in terms of food quality and customer service.

2. ordering time from woolpack during lockdown. I had the fish, chips and muddy heaps. absolutely delicious!
Eating away is worth the money. Not only is it very good, but it is also very well cooked and presented.

Great pub in lovely Coggeshall! Went for a few drinks and Sunday lunch and it didn’t disappoint, also loved the beer garden. Can’t wait to return
My partner and I live locally and I’d been wanting to check out this pub for a while, as it looks so stunning from the outside with beautiful gardens. We went for a Sunday roast recently and I was quite taken aback by how basic and unloved it was inside. The landlady was friendly but the service from the wait staff was incredibly slow even though there were only a couple of tables occupied. My partner had the beef roast and I had the chicken. The portions are HUGE and they give you extra gravy without asking for it, which is a massive plus point. My chicken was pretty nice but the potatoes and veg were absolutely delicious. My partner said his beef was quite tough and he didn’t enjoy it. After we’d finished our meal we must have waited over twenty minutes to have the table cleared and no one asked if we wanted dessert. Another ten minutes passed before we could flag down a member of staff. Unfortunately, in the intervening period, I heard the chef make a really repellant slur about a member of the public who had committed the heinous crime of asking for a burger on a Sunday. Because of that, we didn’t order dessert and we won’t be coming back.
Terrible pub run into the ground in high is such a shame as it’s a nice period building. My friends and I went out for an evening drink and we’re continually charged different prices for the same drink and when we enquired we were told if we don’t like it we can leave.
Amazing food and so much given for a Sunday Roast we had to take some away with us. If you are hungry eat here
First impressions as we walked in was too much furniture ! jammed in all over the place , very odd . Ordered our meals 3 beef and 1 lamb shank.A lot of food turned up BUT it was not good veg had no salt and our beef was so tough it was uneatable so took it home for the dogs. service was fine but the food was the worst by far and expensive. A real shame as we went with high hopes , we will never chance it again ,pity .

Went here a few weeks ago as we have been looking at pubs in the area to have a monthly meeting. Toilet was filthy complained about a dirty glass and was confronted by the owner called Mel who has to be the vilest rudest person on the planet. Left our drinks and went. Such a shame as the building is is wonderful and looks really inviting. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
Stayed overnight but didn’t use for food or drink. Lovely room, only negative was no robes supplied. Also there is no cooked breakfast option but a generous cold option is supplied in room. Service: 5
The owner was extremely accommodating when I called ahead to let her know we had elderly relatives with us, and she made sure to seat us in the most accessible area of the restaurant. The Sunday roast was delicious and the portions were huge. Children under 10 eat for free, which was a nice bonus. The staff were all friendly and polite, creating a pleasant and cozy atmosphere that wasn't too noisy (we came in early lunchtime). Overall, it was a great experience. There weren't many vegetarian options available, but they may have been able to provide a veggie roast upon request. The pub had a gravel parking lot, and it was kid-friendly with free meals for children and drink options available. Prices ranged from £20 to £30 per person. The food, service, and atmosphere all scored a perfect 5.
The room and bathroom were fantastic, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the staff at the bed and breakfast were very friendly. The Sunday lunch was excellent value for money - we will definitely stay here again. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Parking: Plenty of free parking available in the parking lot.
Lovely gem of a pub in a perfect location. Was looking for somewhere to eat for Sunday lunch last minute with family and came across this place. So glad we did. Such a lovely building steeped with history, was very cosy and traditional inside, complete with a fire. The staff were really lovely and welcoming, and even the locals were really friendly. And bonus that dogs are welcome. We all had a fantastic Sunday lunch. Probably one of the best Sunday lunches we've all had. The food was to a great standard, including for two vegetarians, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the meal and atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We're all planning to come back again soon and look forward to it. Will definitely be recommending to others too! Vegetarian options: Great options, all tasty Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free parking lot
