This shop frequently sells out of baguettes (or is down to a selection of or by around This occurs very regularly. If you ask for them to make up a baguette, you will either get a response of not right not or we've run out of baguettes Given this is a common occurrence, it seems like they are unable to properly plan ahead and as a result, I often have to go elsewhere which is frustrating as their baguettes are nice!
Was told pasty was authentic... this was incorrect. The pasty was awful I took one bite and threw it away. I'm cornish this pasty was not. Mushy meat pieces.. strange taste. Waste of money
I definitely use the bakehouse more than I should, but the quality of the food is the reason I come back. They definitely do my favourite pasty in Bournemouth, and while I'm personally a stickler for the traditional, they probably have different types at by one time in a selection of sizes. Add to this a decent selection of bakes, sausage rolls and assorted sides and there is a great selection. There are various other offerings, a good range of toasted sandwiches, all the drinks you'd expect and some pretty tasty cakes Service is spot on, always a friendly smile and a warm greeting. Prices are fair, and there are a few small tables and chairs to dine in should you want to pay vat on your good.
