The wines and deserts rec... read more My wife and I had an amazing dinner at Oak on Friday, July 19th. We had the kale, apple, walnut salad, the halibut and the lamb chops. The wines and deserts recommended were also great. Dinner was presented beautifully and the food was incredible. The plating was top notch. The fish was flaky, but moist, and lamb was perfectly medium rare! The food and drink deserved 5 stars by themselves, but what really stood out was the incredible team. We had the opportunity to sit at the chef's counter, where we were amazed at how professional and hard working the waitstaff and kitchen team performed, plus it was practically a show watching the meals being prepared. We also appreciated a relaxing dinner, with dishes being delivered at a pace that allowed us to enjoy the course and talk without being rushed. A very rare thing in US restaurants. Finally, we have to recognize Sous Chef Juan and waitress Kelly who took amazing care of us, chatted and answered my numerous questions, plus conveyed their passion for amazing food and incredible service. The rest of the team was there if a plate needed clearing, or a fork dropped, but these two stood out for their excellence and service to us. Great job! We will be back, likely more than you can handle!

However, the portion size w... read more The meatball dish was decent. Everything tasted good together, but I found the meatball to be a bit drier and tougher than I prefer. However, the portion size was ample, and it left me feeling quite full. On the service side, my server was very attentive, always quick to refill my water and check on how I was doing. The downside was that the food took a long time to arrive. I was slowly savoring my salad, saving some to accompany the meatballs, but the main dish took forever to come out! I finished the salad and then ended up waiting an additional 20 to 30 minutes. By that time, it had been 45 minutes since I placed my order.

This is a smaller/ more intimate restaurant, and the staff do a really good job at letting the customers weave through the walkways first. Super polite and considerate! If you get the dry aged steak be prepared to share! It's huge! ~10oz I believe.

I grew up in a restaurant family so seeing the perfect timing between courses was on point. Delicious dishes. Wouldrecommend the crispy rice sharable/small plate and the zucchini entree. We ordered the chocolate ice box for dessert which isnice to split amongst two very rich and dense for just one person. Was nice – they placed a candle in the slice for me.

The fish and sweet pea ceviche were also ???? and then the roasted chicken and leeks were juicy and perfectly prepared. The sauce game is on point here every dish isglazed or dipped into a complimentary flavor that enhances the flavor. Great wine menu as well! Can’t wait to come back nexttime I’m in town.
