Was CoreenB at Oak a mag?
Another fine dining experience at The Oak last evening. The incredibly moist and tender Braised Pork Shoulder with delicious new caramelized colatura sauce was delicately garnished with cilantro micro-greens and our prime seating at the corner table by the window offered a nice view of Pearl Street's tulip blooms and prom night activities. What chrisr dislikes about Oak:
Both Entrees were just OK, not very good. COD was undercooked and only two small lamb chops with the second entree should have been three or more chops. COD had something pickled for its base, should have included something like white asparagus or leeks. Anyway, overall OK. View all feedback.

Fantastic experience overall. The cod and sirloin were spot on, and the chicken liver pate is absurdly good. Only minor negative is that we felt a bit rushed. Food was coming out so quickly, we asked to hold our entrees off for awhile so that we could relax and enjoy our cocktails. They gladly obliged. Overall a great evening, as always!
We really enjoyed our dinner here, the salmon and pork chops were delicious main courses and the beef tartare and bread were an excellent way to start the meal. Didn't have reservations but we were able to sit at the bar which was very nice.
Oak is the best of everything. The food at Oak is always amazing and well executed. It has all the greatest things of high-end dining while still being an approachable and welcoming place on Pearl street.Staff are professional and well informed on the whole menu. Desserts and drinks are also top notch. I’d definitely recommend making a reservation well ahead of time, especially over busy weekends.Dietary restrictions: Easy to advocate for and adjust for allergies. Staff are incredibly well informed, making a gluten allergy in our party seamless to work around.
