Reviews summary
The River Crab restaurant seems to have received mixed reviews from customers. While some had a disappointing experience with long waits, substandard food, and poor service, others enjoyed exceptional service and above-average food. The outdoor setting, especially during special occasions like Valentine's Day or July 4th, was particularly praised. The atmosphere was described as a bit noisy but the wine selection and overall value were noted as positives. Overall, it appears that the River Crab's potential lies in its scenic views and attentive service, while food quality and consistency remain areas for improvement.

The food at this restaurant was fantastic, particularly the artic char which was outstanding and highly recommended. The mixed green salad was extremely fresh with a delicious dressing, and the salmon was nearly as good as the char. The baked apple dessert had good flavor but could have used a few more minutes in the oven. The restaurant offers a great wine selection and excellent service. The only downside was that it was a bit noisy due to all the hard surfaces.
I enjoyed my time at this restaurant, but I have some minor grievances. The water served was warm and despite requesting ice, it was not provided. Additionally, the soap in the restroom had a strong scent. I had to wash my hands twice upon returning home to remove the lingering smell.
We visited during restaurant week, where the menu was limited to the chef's selections. The choices were excellent and the fixed price was a great deal. The atmosphere was somewhat noisy and quite casual, which didn't quite match the overall pricing. Overall, we had a pleasant evening and enjoyed our meal.

We've been patrons of Riffs from the get go, but I've never written a review. We celebrated our anniversary there this evening and were once again so pleased. The food is absolutely delicious from start to finish. This evening, we had the roasted oysters as a starter, which were absolutely delicious. One of our standards are the Brussels sprouts with hazelnuts always hearty and wonderful. Everything is so tasty and balanced. I find it difficult to venture out from my tried and true dishes, but it's always worth it. The servers, King and Mackenzie, were wonderfully attentive without disturbing in the least. When they found out it was our anniversary, they offered us dessert on the house. These were also creative variations on beloved standards, a deconstructed cheesecake and an apple tart. It goes without saying that we will return again and again. Bravo tutti!
Amazing food! The portions are just the right size, delicious food and friendly wait staff. It’s true, the famous brussel sprouts are delicious, but so is everything I’ve ever eaten here!
Food was divine. Way better than expected. Every dish was perfectly presented with surprising additions. Waitstaff cheerful, smooth and never pushy. Had their famous Brussel sprouts, the smoked red trout and caramel chocolate dessert.
The food was exquisite, the best service ever, and the drinks phenomenal. If I lived here, it would be my favorite place to go!!!

Really great aesthetics and the food was great as well! The garlic aioli complented the burger perfectly and really made it sandwich. Filling meal for a good price in a great location. Would recommend
The food was fantastic, and the service was excellent, with a menu that continually changes and offers unique drink options. We're definitely looking forward to coming back! Every part of the meal was wonderful, from appetizers to alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as large entrees and dessert coffee. All four of us were delighted with everything we were served.
Came here with some family, sat at their full service bar. Had the regular burger medium rare and came out exceptional! Texture was just right, one of the best I've had. The beer was amazing on draft as well.
Came to reefs after we recognized the restaurant we wanted to go into, is closed for vacation... but we definitely found a jewel! I rarely give 5 stars for review, but if I do – it means it is really great! The atmosphere was great for couples or small group dinners. The waiter recommended us “Hindsight 20/20” (red wine) and it was just wonderful! There is complexity and there is a great aroma. Your food goes amazing! We ordered steam mussels, roasted carrot salad, lemon and thyme chicken and grill Hawaiian Ono. Every dish was perfection for me. Your pumpkin cream brûlée with ginger to add spices and texture was a great surprise. I'm really trying to come back when I return to Boulder in two weeks!
