Khow Thai
Description
Nestled in Boulder, Khow Thai Cafe stands out with its charming ambiance and friendly service. While the restaurant offers a variety of traditional Thai dishes, reviews reveal a mixed bag of experiences. Many patrons appreciate the extensive menu, highlighting standout dishes like the Khow Pad Basil and fresh spring rolls, alongside favorites such as drunken noodles and Tom yum soup. However, some diners have noted inconsistencies in flavor and spice levels, with certain items lacking authenticity. The food is delicious like eating in Thailand... It is the best Thai restaurant we have ever been to.
The food is solid and straightforward. It's vegetarian-friendly—just ask them to omit the fish sauce from the Pad Thai. Occasionally, when my wife orders a dish at Thai hot spice level, they tend to tone it down a little. This isn't really a sit-down restaurant, so it's best to get your food to take away.
Great, cute place in Boulder and enough parking which can be hard in this city. The service was excellent and the menu offered what you would expect at a Thai restaurant. However, we ordered the Pad Thai, Papaya salad, and Drunken Noodle, the flavors were not so wonderful. The salad was too much on the fish sauce side and Pad Thai was bland and drunken noodle was more sweet than what we're used to being from FL and trying other places in Cali. Their levels of spice is also different. Medium is actually not hot at well while mild at other Thai places will have a good kick to it.
I wasn't particularly fond of this dish because it felt a bit too greasy for my taste.
