Swing, ice and art. Yes, please. Every single thing is made in the house with its own base. Milk, eggs, cream, sugar, and they also have many vegan options! My ice cream was so creamy. I tried several flavors and the guy waiting for us was so helpful. Will definitely be back. So happy to have found this jewel. View all feedback.
Swing, ice cream, and art? Yes, please! Every item is made in-house from scratch using their own base ingredients: milk, eggs, cream, and sugar. They also offer numerous vegan options! My ice cream was incredibly creamy, and I sampled several flavors. The staff member who assisted us was extremely helpful. I will definitely return. I'm so thrilled to have discovered this gem!
The ice cream sandwiches here are absolutely outstanding! This little shop knows how to deliver high-quality ice cream, and I was particularly impressed by the freshly baked cookies that made up my ice cream sandwich. I usually opt for ice cream in a cup, but I couldn't resist the temptation of warm cookies in a sandwich. I chose the honey milk ice cream paired with chocolate chip cookies, and it was a fantastic combination—sweet and creamy with gooey chocolate chips. I highly recommend visiting on a Sunday to take advantage of their $4 ice sandwich deal; it’s an incredible bargain! With warmer weather on the horizon, this place is a must-visit for anyone in Boulder craving a delicious cold treat!
I visited Boulder for a business trip and had no idea where to go for dinner since it was my first time there. To make things more challenging, it was a commemorative day, and many restaurants were closed. Fortunately, I had some local food and attraction cards that recommended Heifer and Hen. They mentioned a special on milkshakes for just $4, which caught my attention. I decided to try the Burnt Honey milkshake, and it was the first time I had a milkshake with vanilla and honey. It was fantastic! I can't wait to return on my next visit!
Like many undamaged places, fairies and hen are on a strip along Arapahoe. Except the ice salon is anything but. When you enter the shop you will be welcomed by friendly staff in a warm rustic environment. Their menu is handwritten on butcher paper show their signature and seasonal flavors. From the many places you can enjoy a frozen treat, (Gletscher, Sweet Cow, Ben Jerry's, etc) Heifer and Hen is one of the best in terms of their unique flavors. From burnt honey and squid with lemon to blackberry tamarind, their ice cream goes beyond the basic palate of the Keksteig or the rocky street. Really an extraordinary experience, I don't think I'll go to any other ice cream in Boulder.
Delicious ice cream with a great variety of flavors including classics and fun interesting choices. Even a couple coconut choices for non dairy folks. Interesting cream sandwiches and milk shakes. Cute colorful and simple... Some swing chairs.
