Chimera - Boulder
Chimera
Description
The restaurant received mixed reviews with several customers unhappy with their experience. Some enjoyed the flavorful ramen and great service, while others were disappointed in the food quality and management. Despite creative twists on classic dishes and a pleasant atmosphere, inconsistencies in food and service left some diners unsatisfied. Overall, the restaurant has potential but needs improvement in consistency to truly shine in Boulder's competitive restaurant scene.

Feedback
The server was excellent and the owner was very kind. However, when we arrived at 5:30 pm, the music was too loud and gave the restaurant a club-like atmosphere despite there only being a few people. As more patrons arrived, the music got even louder and everyone had to speak louder to be heard, making for a very uncomfortable noise level. It was a shame because the restaurant had the potential to be a lovely Asian dining spot.
The spicy ramen was delicious and had a good amount of spice. Unfortunately, my wife's pan-fried noodles with seafood were not enjoyable. The noodles were too chewy and the sauce was too watery and salty. Despite the restaurant being only half full, we were seated at a less desirable table near the restroom entrance, despite making a reservation.
The ramen was so terrible that we couldn't even take more than one bite before returning it. The manager apologized for the mishap but still left the item on our bill. After asking, she only offered a 20% discount. We had to insist she remove it after getting approval from the owner. Both the food and the management were disappointing.
Very fine experience. Dishes are imaginative and very nicely presented. Service was helpful and very well informed. We will be back soon.
