I had a wonderful experience at Cafe Aion, located near the college and the Fox Theater. It's an excellent spot for indulging in paella and mouthwatering tapas—make sure to try the fried cauliflower and seasonal mushrooms. The paellas are tasty, although they aren't as large as they claim; they say it serves two, which is true if you order appetizers, but some may find it suitable for just one person. The atmosphere is fantastic, and even though it's a bit out of the way if you're not near the college, it's definitely worth the trip. I've taken several friends from out of town, and they all loved it. If you're a Boulder local, check out the various specials offered throughout the week. Surprisingly, despite its proximity to the college, I've never had any issues finding parking.
The restaurant boasts a wonderful atmosphere and fantastic tapas! With its charming urban vibe, the place offers delicious food that you'll truly enjoy.
Our second visit and did not disappoint. Waiter was happy to allow me to taste a number of the wines before settling on the choice for dinner. Dinner was excellent as usual. Desert was amazing.
Fantastic! The staff is amazing, and the food is delicious with plenty of vegetarian options. I consider it a blend of casual charm and elegance!
The food was very good, which saved the day for this place. The surface of our table on the patio was in pretty bad shape and the table would not sit level. Although the two female servers were pleasant, they seemed quite confused, taking a long time to bring us various parts of our meal, giving some of our order to other tables, giving us a drink order from another table (part of which they spilled on our table , and completely forgetting about certain requests (eg clean small plates after we finished our tapas. Maybe they were overloaded, maybe they were just green or untrained, but a big improvement should be made in this area.
