REALLY??!... read more First time I went to a restaurant where the owner claimed, he could not cook my calamari longer because he leaves the cooks alone to do as they wish. REALLY??! First time it was underdone, second time it was done right, third time it was slappedtogether. So now I 'm done. Stupidest response I 've ever heard. MC has a problem with treating certain customer 's properly.That 's just what it is.

Since moving back... read more Holding true to its namesake, this place is SOLID! I was pleasantly surprised to bump into an old friend who owns and operates the restaurant. Since moving back to WA, I've been looking for new restaurants to have on rotation. The food here is legit (I would highly recommend even if I didn't know Tom), decor is nice (although as of June 2023 it's take out only) and It's a family-run business (which I love to support). I rarely feel compelled to write reviews, but supporting Solid Modern Teriyaki feels as good as their food tastes! Once you order take out from Solid, I'm sure it will be in your rotation too, I highly recommend!

I ordered it around two years ago, and it t... read more The sushi and teriyaki dishes here are quite good. However, I do have one major complaint regarding the spicy ramen. I ordered it around two years ago, and it turned out to be one of my biggest mistakes. It tasted like a basic cup of noodles, with just a few additional ingredients thrown in. I believe I paid around $12 for it, but the quality was so disappointing that I ended up tossing half of it in the trash. I hope they have made some improvements since that experience.
