We had another mexican restaurant here in Bothell for years drove 'em right outta business ! The food is excellent the cook is obsessed with excellence ! Plus he 's REALLY NICE GUY) OH and all the other workers are REALLY NICE, too ! They 're GENUINELY FRIENDLY PEOPLE . . . Not the I gotta be nice 'cuz I work here type of nice ! They 're GENUINELY friendly. I 'm picky about salsa it 's better than any other mexican restaurant I 've been to ! My family drives all the way from Birch Bay to eat here ! Five stars.

Grea... read more Solid food in an unpretentious environment makes for a comforting meal. My wife and I both had carne asada in our dishes and it was the best I've ever had! Great flavor and nice charring from the grill. The rest of our food was good, if not noteworthy. This place was a pleasant surprise. Its quality rises above what I'd expect from a Mexican restaurant in a strip mall. Service was low-key and nice. Food was warm and comforting. I'll definitely be back!

I had to wait 30 minutes for a table, but the staff worked incredibly hard to accommodate everyone. Since it was my birthday, they went out of their way to make it special for me. The margaritas were fantastic, and the food is truly the best Mexican cuisine I've had anywhere. I’ve lived in the South and have tried Mexican food in Mexico and six other states, but nothing compares to Julio's. I highly recommend this place!

Best of all, they are willing to make their enchiladas suizas with corn tortillas for those of us with wheat allergies or Celiac. We've been customers for years and have tried at least half the menu, and even remember some dishes no longer on the menu. Bring the horchata back, Sylvia and Julio! <3

It resembles the gourmet farm-to-table restaurants of Mexico City, offering a completely different experience from the typical Americanized Mexican food. One of my personal favorites is the rice and black beans, which are made simply yet bursting with natural flavors. The sauces and marinades enhance the ingredients rather than overpower them. The staff is incredibly kind and friendly. Having worked and traveled in Mexico and lived in Southern California, I've had my fair share of different styles of Mexican cuisine, which can vary greatly by region. Bothell is truly fortunate to have a restaurant of Julio's caliber.
