I am a Whiskey club member and until now told everyone to come visit McMenamins. Sadly I can’t do that anymore. Very disappointed

Given McMenamin 's reputation and experience with restaurants, there 's really no reason. Staff clearly were aware of problems and apologetic afterwards, but warning up front would have been nice so we could decide if we wanted to stick it out.

Finally an employee from the restaurant said we could just seat ourselves. Food was a little burnt around the edges. And my reservation said this was a birthday. They were clueless and it spoiled the surprise.

Wait times in kitchen during rush is worth ordering after the rush. Rob has been great to get to know. A man of his craft. The food is always great. I understand that I am on both sides of the fence. However, on our last two visits, the service was extremely slow. It took over an hour and a quarter to receive our meals. The staff was friendly, but it seemed like the kitchen was overwhelmed. We found out from their website that they are short-staffed, like many other places. We won't be dining there again until they hire more staff. On our most recent visit, there was loud live music outside, so we were seated inside at a large table near the fireplace. The food was a mixed bag- my pizza was good, but my daughter's had to be remade and was just okay. My brother's burger and fries were cold and dry. My wife's salad was disappointing. The fries we ordered at the beginning were hot and tasty, but the bread was forgettable. The parking lot was full, indicating that they are still doing well. We will wait for reviews to improve before returning. Additionally, the menu on Open Table was different from the actual restaurant menu, so be cautious. The restaurant's website is difficult to navigate, but my wife managed to find the menu.
