One of the best places I've ever visited when I lived in the mountains a couple years ago. I'm so sorry reading the recent reviews about the co-owner passing, I'm sending love and healing. I don't know if it's still appropriate for me to leave a review on here now, but I just wanted to say it was one of my best memories in Bishop when visiting and the service was always so nice and sweet, very friendly. It's disappointing to see this restaurant closed as I drove by. To the owner, thank you for all the memories we shared over the years.
How can I put it so you understand, BEST BURGERS I HAVE EVER HAD !!! I've had plenty!! Everywhere, in a few states too! I dream of going back. I once googled to see how far from LA!! Sadly, it's SUPER FAR!!! :, Distraught that I may never have again !! Seriously though, on a scale of 1-10 it's 100!! They make burgers fresh as you order them from local grass fed beef. You can't get any better than that. The kitchen is pretty small. It's a family owned business. Support them by having their amazing burgers! Please expect a wait. You will be forming a line outside. If it's a hot day, they do have misters some shade from trees canopy like cover. They have a small amount of parking spaces as this place is next to some homes off a main road in town. It may look like you're going the wrong way, but that's the parking lot. Please be patient, the wait is sooooo worth it. Place your order, not many selections be ready once you get to the window. Cash only ! Go find a spot to sit down. You will have an open view, as seating is outdoors. I had the whack a mole. It was perfect ! The meat was cooked just right, the bun was soft! All the ingredients just went well together. The western burger my family tried was on point tooo! The onion rings!! Oh my !! They not only know how to make a great burger, but great onion rings too! It is so hard to get Onion rings right. I've only found 2 or 3 places and this place is one of them. They are perfect! Batter is perfect! Tempura like. Tasty, Perfect crunchy ! The fries were good too but the onions were out of the ball park. FYI the orders of fries and onion rings are huge! We ordered 2 fries one order of onion rings couldn't finish between 3 adults a kid. Bottom line! Run have a burger help Keep this place in business because I plan to go back one day !! In the near future, hopefully.

It almost felt like home away from home, the atmosphere has a very special place in my heart. For whatever decision the shop chooses to make in the future, I'm always here to support. Thank you.
We are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of one of the co-owners and the closure of Bishop Burger Barn. This restaurant was a special place for us during our travels to the Eastern Sierras. Our thoughts are with the family and we wish them healing during this difficult time.
This wonderful hamburger spot is sorely missed. They had the best ever burgers.
