I tried lamb for the first time on Friday, and it definitely won’t be my last! I placed my order in advance and picked it up right on time. It was incredibly fresh and delicious, and it really filled me up. Personally, I wouldn't recommend the mint sauce, as I found it a bit overpowering. Overall, it was a very tasty lunch! Every Friday lunchtime, my workplace go here as the lamb dinner (tates, lamb, gravy, mint sauce) is amazing. Friday 2nd August 2019 was entirely different. I noticed 2 new staff members, one of whom served me two lamb dinners for £11. Got back to office, only to find that very little gravy on both....I mean hardly any! Shy on tates too! Tried for the first time today. I'm not surprised the place is always super busy. Food was lovely and fresh. Shop is nice and clean and staff were all working really hard. I will definitely return.
Unbelievably the main menu consisted of just burger, fish and chips or salad!!!!! Clearly this restaurant is unprepared and the management must be incredibly naive if they dont realise how they are damaging their reputation ...
Had heard about their lamb Friday and felt I had to check it out! I got their lamb in mint sauce and potatoes wrapped in a Yorkshire pudding. It was truly great.
Food is absolutely outstanding, freshly prepared daily, staff go out of their way so friendly, professional and general spot on service. Lamb fridays game changer, they do breakfasts, soups, specials daily, vegan and vegetarian option, salad boxes, cakes fresh. Been coming here now for over six years never ever had a bad meal, cold meal when meant to be hot or food that wasn't worthy of my money. They deliver also, prices are what you get food wise and cant argue with the amount and quality. Rob, Nat, Neil and the whole team really do make this business/eatery what is it never change spot on.
When I’m on business in Birkenhead, I take out my lunch almost each time here. Every day there are new specials. The food is delicious. Nice staff Can be very crowded, 11:30 is ideal to take out lunch.
