Not been here for a few years and I made a welcome return. The staff are always so jolly and friendly, praise to them! As one of Heswalls longest established eateries I was glad to see it still operating. We went on a Saturday evening and opted for the 3 course menu, always good value for money and excellent food. Perfect black pudding starterI seriously cannot fault it. The steak cooked superbly along with all other items, Oh and the dessert.......chocolate orange profiteroles had me drooling lol, I wanted seconds. Went for afternoon lunch and all the meals were tasty and well presented. The staff were keen and friendly especially Beth who couldn't do enough for us. Only 4 stars then? That's because there could be a little more choice on the menu for some of my party.
