The chef is br... read more Early evening Friday, could be bothered cooking. We both had the lamb arancini special and the chicken schnitzel. It was all excellent, as usual! The chef is brilliant at the mo, looking forward to seeing the new menu next week and our various christmas things we've got booked in. I was delighted to see Josie making a guest appearance. Am always amazed at the familiar faces that turn up at Gary's restaurants.

We started with the fish soup and then shared the aged sirloin which came with peppercorn sauce, the best Parmesan chips I have ever tasted and delicious carrots. We ordered a side of broccoli too which was cooked to perfection. We finished with a chessboard and the honeycomb ice cream. Every element of the meal was cooked perfectly and was so tasty. I am not a great meat eater but the sirloin was delicious. I have not tasted food as good. The staff were attentive, pleasant and helpful. There was a new manager who ensured our evening went to plan, he checked in on us and was really a pleasure to speak to. I could not recommend this place highly enough. We will be back! Thank you Burnt Truffle. It was a great all round experience.

The children's menu was absolutely fantastic value, and the quality of everything served consistently excellent. We sat outside to save other customers from sitting near our young children, but the food and service was so good that we were all as good as gold!

Greeted warmly, shown to our table promptly with menus, food brought over at the perfect time at the right temperature, everything we tasted was exquisite. All 4 of us enjoyed our visit, having the turkey with accompaniments, plaice, and Christmas pudding (loaded with delicious fruits and brandy! . Pretty good wine list too. I could eat the entire meal again.

As the first time the food was excellent and the staff awesome. we had a late seating but never felt rushed even when we were amongst the last to leave. I would like to say a big thank you to the team here and next time we are in Heswall we will be in your place again.
