They have vermut on tap. Had some tostas and a glass of Galician white. Always crowded, so try to be there during less busy hours to avoid disappointment and get enough attention from the bar.
Food was good but the guy who seemed to run the place extremely unfriendly. Plus overpriced food drinks (sangria 4,50€ .
Found a table outside. Nice street, lots going on. Nobody came out to serve. Went in and told ‘kitchen’s closed’. I asked if we could have beers and told yes, but ignored for 5 mins even though I was the only one in and there were3of them . Then asked if I could order and he responded. Asked if I could have food off the bar and said yes. Chose two sandwich-type things. Later told I couldn’t have it because someone else was having it, no explanation. Told one sandwich would be heated and would take 3-4 mins but at least 10 and not nice…One other English woman complained that the bread was stale and they were equally rude ‘well what do you want?!’ so all in all, position ok, beer ok, staff rude, food poor.
This place deserves all the positive reviews. We ordered a couple of items from the black board--potatas bravas and tortilla--and neatballs from the counter. They were all delicious--home made and just enough to share between 2 people. The owners are very friendly and is a great place to go if you want some French wines like chablis, which is a change from the usual white wines on offer around the old town.
