They have vermut on tap. Had some tostas and a glass of Galician white. Always crowded, so try to be there during less busy hours to avoid disappointment and get enough attention from the bar.
Food was good but the guy who seemed to run the place extremely unfriendly. Plus overpriced food drinks (sangria 4,50€ .
Found a table outside. Nice street, lots going on. Nobody came out to serve. Went in and told ‘kitchen’s closed’. I asked if we could have beers and told yes, but ignored for 5 mins even though I was the only one in and there were3of them . Then asked if I could order and he responded. Asked if I could have food off the bar and said yes. Chose two sandwich-type things. Later told I couldn’t have it because someone else was having it, no explanation. Told one sandwich would be heated and would take 3-4 mins but at least 10 and not nice…One other English woman complained that the bread was stale and they were equally rude ‘well what do you want?!’ so all in all, position ok, beer ok, staff rude, food poor.
This place deserves all the positive reviews. We ordered a couple of items from the black board--potatas bravas and tortilla--and neatballs from the counter. They were all delicious--home made and just enough to share between 2 people. The owners are very friendly and is a great place to go if you want some French wines like chablis, which is a change from the usual white wines on offer around the old town.

Fun service and tasty food. Nice pintxos, fresh albondigas (meatballs) and cute tiny tortilla. Great spot for people watching and soaking in the city vibes.
One of my favorite pintxos places! Really nice staff and mouth-watering pintxos. You should definitely order the kalamari brioche sandwich, tortilla and patatas brava.
Baster is a popular spot in the Casco Viejo part of Bilbao. Locals pour in for pintxos and vermouth. On the weekends it can be difficult to find a table inside or out although if you’re lucky you’ll find a spot to stand at the bar. Clearly the crowds demonstrate just how popular a place it is. As for the food the vegetarian bocata filled with red beets, onions, mushrooms and melted cheese was the perfect start to tapas bar hopping in Bilbao.
The customer service was truly exceptional it was an absolute delight! To our pleasant surprise, the staff spoke English and took the time to walk us through the various options available. As vegetarians, we were pleased to find a decent variety of dishes on offer, and the overall atmosphere of the establishment added to our enjoyment. It's clear that the staff takes great pride in their work, and we encourage them to keep up the excellent job they're doing.

Super nice and relaxed place for small dishes and drinks. Different (special!)from the other bars and spots.
Without a doubt our favourite Old Town gem! Delicious food, excellent vermouth, and warm attentive service from a fantastic team. We’ll be back!
Very friendly staff. We ordered what people around us had. Marvellous lunch. So much better than what we had on Plaza Barria the other day. Difficult to find a table outside, but worth a try.
Very nice and comfortable place with delicious food and wine. Super friendly servis . Greetings from Poland!
Very nice small bar on the corner, away from the crowds on the larger squares. A bit quieter, with beautiful views of the streets and on the cathedral. The place looks beautiful, both inside and outside, with stylish bistro style chairs and tables. And I also like the labeling of her logo. Great place for a caña and wine and some of the best olives on the side.
