Amazing old school freshly made jamon sandwiches which are the best you’ll ever eat
You looking for new cuisine and excluded taste, then this is not your place. You want to eat traditional Basque food, that they eat every week, made with the best ingredients and accompanied by the best wines? This is it. It a place with more than 50 years of history, place for local to enjoy a drink after work, eat lunch everyday, close deals with customers, etc... Bankers, politicians, Carpenters, young students, etc... Everyone goes. My recommendation: Local white (txakoli) with anchovies. Then, if you like spicy, little snack of Tunna with Alegria Riojana (Spicy pepper from la Rioja). Red goes with Spanish Ham (ration might seem expensive but, quality is worth it). End: cheese. Hope you enjoy.
