Al's Son -b-q - Big Spring
Al's Son -b-q
Description
Al's restaurant has garnered mixed reviews from diners. While some guests enjoyed flavorful dishes like the Texas cheeseburger and habanero sausage, others expressed disappointment over small portion sizes and high prices, particularly for BBQ items. Service and atmosphere received praise for being friendly and inviting, contributing positively to the dining experience. However, concerns about the quality of certain meats and side dishes persisted, with many patrons feeling that the offerings didn’t justify the cost. Overall, while some will return for the pleasant service and specific menu highlights, others are unlikely to revisit due to the perceived value.

I was disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The portion size was extremely small for $26, and the brisket lacked flavor. The rib was served cold and was a bit tough. The sides were okay, but nothing special that would make me want to return. I've tried BBQ from many places, and this was the smallest serving I've encountered for the price. I won't be wasting my money here again.
I usually don’t dine out, especially American food, but last night we happened to stop by. I had a Texas cheeseburger and french fries. My daughter had nice and crunchy fried shrimp. We took out some pie and chocolate cake. Everything tasted very good to me. The staff were very nice. The restaurant was nice and clean. I would like to go back again when I visit Big Spring next time.
The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious, the tea was fresh, and the dessert was the perfect way to end the meal.
It's evident that the work environment is quite toxic. The managers appear to dislike being there and they treat the staff poorly. However, the food is great and the servers are excellent.
