Feedback
The Bayou restaurant offers a mixed dining experience, with some reviewers noting that the food was average and overpriced for certain items such as French fries. However, others praised dishes like the steamed shrimp and collard greens. The service received mixed reviews, with some customers mentioning issues with table clearing and special occasion recognition. The atmosphere was often noted as noisy, but outdoor seating by the water was a highlight for many. Overall, the restaurant received praise for its variety of menu items and large portions, with some patrons recommending specific dishes and highlighting the exceptional service provided by the staff.
Nice enough restaurant, but way too noisy. Food very good but not outstanding. I'd flagged our group as celebrating a birthday (my grandson's 19th), but the waiter told us they didn't do anything for special occasions -- a disappointment since the question was asked when I made the reservation through Open Table. A bit on the expensive side, but I suppose that's to be expected on a warm summer weekend night.
Food & service was wonderful! Had a great birthday celebration. Will be back soon.
Much better experience than times before. Definitely going to miss this place when I leave.
This is a great place for a unique taste, there aren't many other NOLA style restaurants around. I would recommend doing a reservation for any night of the week because this place it popular. Everything I had was delicious, especially the cornbreadappetizer and I made sure I saved room for dessert, a brownie sundae! I would definitely recommend to anyone!
The Nashville Mac&Cheese was bomb ???? Though eating it all very quickly gave me a bit of a tummy ache haha The menu was full of amazing comfort foods, but I had to get my go-to out of the way. Looking forward to Chicken&Waffles next time — and there willbe a next time! Staff was very friendly, and were friendly with my buddy’s dog in sitting outside. Only complaint I couldthink of is that the walk-in “waiting” space doesn’t exist, so as I waited to ask the hostess a question, two more groupsof patrons arrived and we were scattered to just stand in the middle of the restaurant, with tables of patrons eating aroundus. Didn’t hurt me none, just food for thought! Thanks again for the good eats ????
