It was on 03.10 2012 when I was on the way to berlin, the idea came to drive over potsdam and the glienicker bridge. I was amazed at how much operation was on and around the glienicker bridge on this special day and here the car parked somewhere. so it wasn't thinking about it. so we drove a few meters to the left in the direction of the peacock island and to the gas house moorlake, where we found a parking lot with ach and krach, again drank cozy coffee and then we have in wonderful early autumn or late summer weather on a walk along the mülle to lock and park glienicke. they can enjoy a magnificent view of the one that leads along the sleeper. in the north you can see the peacock island, whose white burg is like a black from the green island, later you can see the beautiful sabot healing church on the opposite side, which has been given for decades in no country between east and west of the decay price. until they reach the jägertor and playful, Mediterranean graceful building, like the casino in the castle glienicke and the great curiosity reaches the glienicker bridge. along the ale of the king, the oldest Prussian chaussee, built in 1795, they will then reach the common johannittor of the castle to go through the Prussian arkadiene. first intentions to transform potsdam and environment into a paradisia, go back to the 17th century. only under graf karl heinrich von lindenau, who lived 1755 to 1842, the glienickes began to rise into the herric landscape. which was continued under the owner before the carl august of hardenberg, who lived for example in the same time. he hired schinkel to rebuild the burg and lenné with the installation of a pleasure. under prinz carl by preussen (1801 to 1883) the anwesen got its still largely preserved form a summer seat in classic style. after the death of the prinzen karls came first in unhealed and fell down. in the past century, however, the abdomen was gradually renovated and since 1995 the buildings belong to the foundation of Prussian castles and gardens berlin brandenburg. the castle can be visited today. very beautiful is the garden courtyard and interesting are the spolien according to model Italian Renaissance palaces that decorate the walls. In view of the advanced time and the magnificent weather, however, we decided to go past the romantic klosterhof to the casino, whose interior and exterior are decorated by some old sculptures. from the casino we enjoyed a magnificent view over the cape on the pfingstberg to the nedlitzer kirchberg. we went back to the klosterhof, who attracted me as a magician and at the same time my favourite place in the glienicke castle park. In 1850, many spolien were inserted from the 1844 on the island certosa in venedig demolished kloster st. andrea. in the front yard is a medieval brandy ion on a Byzantine granite column. the figures cape with the chained monkey comes from the sloping tower to pisa. the entrance with forged iron tor is lined by Gothic double columns. a sarkophagus, originally in the dom to padua, carries an atlant on a small marble column. To this day are also in the 11th to 13th century walled plates. when the razor chamber kept the imperial chair, which has now returned to the dig. from there we left the park to the cap through the tor decorated with brains to come back to the farm garden and the steam engine house of 1838, the teufelsbrücke also from 1852 and the jägerhoftor back to the moorlake. a highly recommended hike, but for which you should take at least 2 hours. also with public transport means, the castle is easy to reach: from the main station potsdam with the tram 93 to the glienicker bridge or from berlin with the bus 316 to the castle glienicke. the castle is open from april to October Tuesday to Sunday and from november to March on Saturdays and Sundays. the current opening times and further information you will find on the way along the key between moorlake and glienickerbrücke all year round, as it runs outside the park. the northern part of the park is not accessible from the road through the danger of a break. the lock itself is not barrier-free and only conditionally suitable for wheelchair users.

Hello. on the beautiful lake the virgin, I saw this beautiful castle there, I pronounced it quite loud, it was built in 1753, first it should be a good farm, but in 1812 Wilhelm-Fritze moved the third, he built everything powerful, and made this out, he built it in Italy-style, because the noble then much, he found the south so beautiful, and wanted to foot there. his nightly choice, was his oldest son carl, later it was not nice, and that was made a lazarett. after that the owners changed quickly, and this was then closed into the sport hotel, and then still ne quite cool educational space and also school, but the wind of the new time did not stop, and so became a museum from 1987, and so it is still today because there they meet nice people. the view of the water and the beautiful park that is closed and everything is really strong! the leader was a bit dry, so I let myself be cured tightly. go and look in there, you'll be happy!

To show my guide something about my home, I took it to the glienicker lockpark. there we stayed a few minutes in the beautiful park and received direct views of the younger. the weather was fantastic and the park was not too crowded. Unfortunately, the rain was looking for us, but that didn't stop him. directly at the Glienicker Bridge we then searched for the exit and found us just a few steps away from potsdam. nice quiet but axis between two big cities. the castle can also be visited.
