This restaurant served some of the most delicious food we ate during our recent trip to Berlin. It serves traditional German food. We ended up eating here twice during our stay because we liked it so much. We had the cold herring dish with a fresh green salad and the most yummy fried potatoes. Of course everything tasted good with the local beer. My husband had some type of apple dessert that was delicious. Eating ou... View all feedback.
What Sebastian Nickel doesn't like about Metzer Eck:
Have never been more disappointed with a waitress. She made it quite clear she couldn’t care less about our experience. Incredibly rude. The food is quite good with reasonable pricing but it didn’t overcome the attitude. View all feedback.
Good basic food at a reasonable price in a local pub in Prenzlauer berg. They do not appear to really want non regulars there though. OK service.

Great food, we ordered the schnitzel with potato salad and it was amazing, plus the price is really good. The atmosphere is what you would expect of a non tourist restaurant, relaxed, nice music, and people talking. I really liked the place.
Came over here about a minute train ride from our hotel. The place was full and no available seat so we waited and came back. I would consider this one of the best pubs I've been to. It was cozy with just a few...tables. The beer was great and the Bavarian eats; sausages, were just excellent. We had the apple strudle for dessert and oh boy, we just loved it!
Established more than years ago as a neighborhood bar and restaurant, this place provides good food at a reasonable price. In nice weather you can sit outside along the sidewalk and enjoy the Berlin scene. However, in poor weather you will find yourself squeezed...into a very small and dark bar in the front with a few tables in a second room just behind it for eating. We experienced it both ways and enjoyed the food and comaraderie each time. Go and enjoy it.
