An absolute recommendation. Nice atmosphere and service, and the food is delicious. In summer, you can sit outside. Prenzlauer Berg as you wish.

This place had been on my bucket list for two years, and yesterday, back in Berlin, I finally made it to Prenzlauer Berg. This now 112-year-old pub is exactly what you miss as a German when you live abroad: a timeless, nostalgic atmosphere with comforting food I grew up with in Germany. Very friendly staff. The red beer called “Rollberg” was a very nice option alongside the “Berliner.” I will be back.

First had to wait for a long time to place an order. Then I didn’t have cash and they were not very understanding about it. The food was fine. Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3 Price per person: €30–40

My wife and I love this place. If we lived nearby we would go here every day. We were in Berlin for 4 days and we came here every single night. It's...
Lovely old kneipe with decent beer and good atmosphere. The women working were cute and attentive. They served food and if a smoker there's an own...

Have never been more disappointed with a waitress. She made it quite clear she couldn’t care less about our experience. Incredibly rude. The food is quite good with reasonable pricing but it didn’t overcome the attitude.
Good basic food at a reasonable price in a local pub in Prenzlauer berg. They do not appear to really want non regulars there though. OK service.
Great food, we ordered the schnitzel with potato salad and it was amazing, plus the price is really good. The atmosphere is what you would expect of a non tourist restaurant, relaxed, nice music, and people talking. I really liked the place.
Came over here about a minute train ride from our hotel. The place was full and no available seat so we waited and came back. I would consider this one of the best pubs I've been to. It was cozy with just a few...tables. The beer was great and the Bavarian eats; sausages, were just excellent. We had the apple strudle for dessert and oh boy, we just loved it!
There's a reason why the vast majority of reviews are or stars as this is without a shadow of a doubt one of the best pubs in the Prenzlauer Berg district. It's a traditional pub, dark wood tables and chairs, great decor and furnishings...including a cool looking serving bar and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling Metzer Straße. My twin brother Stephen and I were here on a really hot Thursday night, this pub was busy with a great atmosphere , as all the seats outside were took we opted to sit inside were a very pleasant member of staff poured us an iced cold beer each,we just kicked back, chilled out and took in the great pub we were in. On this visit I cannot really comment on the meals as we were only here for drinks but I have ate here on numerous occasions over the years and the meals are superb, proper hearty German cuisine, tasty and filling. The beer served here was spot on and very easy to drink,we soon polished off our beers and as we were enjoying the great atmosphere so much we decided to stay for one more drink each,we chose mampe halb und halb this was a herb liqueur that fell out of fashion in the but has made a spectacular comeback and is widely available in most pubs, bars and restaurants, it's very tasty and very strong and I absolutely love it. We moved on after our delicious drinks and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. Metzer Eck is really easy to locate, we jumped the metro down to stop Prenzlauer Allee/ Metzer Straße, you walk down Metzer Straße were you will find this great pub. Opening hours are; Monday to Friday, till Saturday, till Sunday, Closed. A great pub in a fantastic location and well worth checking out.
