The restaurant was quite full when we got there. A note in the menu apologized that the kitchen was under reconstruction/maintenance so the selection was limited. We ordered the special fresh asparagus with hollandaise sauce plus a meat. The asparagus was perfect. The veal schnitzel was a thick slab of breaded grey meat. The pork schnitzel in the Viennese style was an even thicker slab of breaded white meat. Both tasted fine. Local draft beer and a good selection of beer in bottles. There was only one waiter for the whole room, and a bartender who helped deliver drinks from the bar in the next room. When we wanted to pay, we were informed that we could not pay with a card, although a sign on the door listed all the cards accepted. Do not know if this was a temporary technical problem or a new policy. We would eat here again to give it another chance. The service was slow, but the food was OK and this could have just been a bad night/week/month.
