What Alpine Life dislikes about Julius:
Nice atmosphere, service was ok but lacked character and was cold. Interior of the restaurant is at best bleak and industrial. Food….. yeh quite simply at this standard if you’re having a bad day in the kitchen then it shows. After waiting a few months to go we were hugely disappointed with our experience. Never again. There are better restaurants in Berlin. View all feedback.

If money doesn't matter, it's fantastic. Food and service are really amazing.

Love the unpretentious, genuine, and enthusiastic chef, sommelier, and servers in this restaurant! Food was inventive; since when did vegetable dishes become so sexy? I loved that the sommelier made a last-minute non-alcoholic pairing for my 15-year old! My family and I enjoyed learning about where the food came from (e.g., fresh cream from Mirabelle the cow and pork from Managlitza pigs in Austria). My family and I want to visit Berlin again just so we can try out Ernst a second time!

Really amazing selection of ingredients and calming atmosphere. The kitchen flow seems really positive from what we could see from the outside. The orange wine they had was honestly phenomenal. The precision in their food is really lovely while still staying grounded. Also considering the price of the ingredients and the level of skill behind preparing them, it is very affordable. I don’t recommend coming on a fully empty stomach due to portion sizes, but it’s a great place to go if you want something on the lighter side. Also wouldn’t recommend the coffee as it was over extracted, but everything else was truly excellent

Brunch at Julius is a study in culinary restraint. The tear-shaped omelet arrives set and centered on a white plate, its interior gently yielding, lifted only by a scatter of crushed pepper and salt flakes. The French toast follows the same logic: a caramelized dark crust giving way to a soft, airy center. There’s no excess, only simple precision. Corner windows draw generous daylight into the pared-back interior. Minimalist lines and a hushed atmosphere make a persuasive case for lingering a little longer. It’s the sort of address where design and dining speak the same restrained language.
