While their... read more This is the storefront for Cupkates, which offers more convenient hours than the food trucks, which sadly don't seem to visit San Francisco anymore. While their cupcakes are on the pricier side, the buttercream is absolutely fantastic—soft and perfectly balanced, not overly sweet like the thick frosting found on supermarket cupcakes. The cakes are moist, except for the red velvet for some reason. My favorites are the salted caramel and double vanilla. They even have a gluten-free snickerdoodle cupcake. It may not have quite the same texture, but it’s still an excellent cake. The baking here is incredibly talented! Additionally, we had 150 cupcakes catered for our wedding four years ago, and we've been coming back to indulge in cupcakes to celebrate our anniversaries ever since. The quality has consistently remained high, which is impressive both in terms of scale and over the years.

They capture the perfect ooey-gooey goodness without any preservatives or chemicals. I did deduct one star because the prices are understandably on the higher side, but you truly get what you pay for. I tried the Nutella-filled cookie, and it was one of the best cookies I've had this year (and I've had quite a few!). I highly recommend this place, especially if you're looking to try a different kind of bakery.
