Their coffee and specialty drinks are fantastic. I have yet to try one of their pastries, but I usually just get the Rasa Coffee, it’s a tad sweet, plus is has cardamom and cinnamon; my favorite so far. Staff is wonderfully friendly. One outdoor table with some chairs is great if you want to hang for a moment.

Whether it's the combination of the cool winter breeze and warm January sun or this absolutely incredible Golden Latte from Rasa Caffe made just for me (I'll choose the latter)... either way, I am thrilled that I made a U-turn and came back to visit! Conveniently located at the southern entrance of the city, it's easily accessible whether you're coming from Oakland on the freeway or arriving by BART. Parking is usually available out front. I highly recommend trying the rose water and saffron latte as it enhances the already delicious drink without overpowering it. They have mastered this recipe over time, and my friend, who is a fan of Chai, couldn't resist going back two days in a row after trying it. I personally haven't strayed from this favorite, as it always hits the spot.
