Peet's Coffee offers a mixed experience, highlighted by friendly staff and a clean atmosphere, making it a go-to spot for many. Customers frequently praise the delicious drinks and breakfast pastries, especially the morning glory muffin and caramel javiva blend. However, some have noted inconsistencies with specific orders and issues like limited restroom access and cleanliness concerns. While the lively environment may be overwhelming for some, the excellent service and convenient location across from the BART Center entrance draw many patrons. Overall, Peet's remains a beloved local choice despite occasional drawbacks.
The shop was almost full and kind of loud but I found a seat. The wait was very short and the staff are excellent. Top drawer. I like the chai and breakfast sandwiches.
Across the street from your biggest competitor and hust like Starbucks you dont ipen till 7 am.. why? On a saturday too???
I really like this Peet's location. The staff is friendly, and they provide restroom access for customers. I had a disappointing experience at a coffee shop on Center and Shattuck after spending $10 there—can you believe that? In comparison, I find that Peet's tea simply tastes better, whether or not they have a restroom available.
Coffee latte and cinnamon roll. On par, not awesome, but good. No outlets to charge devices.(really? In a college town? One restroom out of order. A very clear indication of the breakdown of civilization is a lack of access to clean water and plumbingie toilets. Employees are pleasant and exemplary in the carrying out of their duties
This restaurant is well-maintained, clean, and features friendly staff that provide excellent service. The drinks and breakfast pastries were delightful! My girlfriend and I visited before heading into the city, and it’s conveniently located right across from the BART Center St entrance, with even better accessibility coming once the new entrance opens later this year. I tried the morning glory muffin, which the cashier recommended. Even though it didn’t look like much, it was moist, sweet, delicious, and quite filling, reminiscent of carrot cake. For my drink, I chose the caramel javiva blend, which was sweet, indulgent, and topped with whipped cream and extra caramel. It gave me the perfect morning boost while satisfying my sweet cravings! :D
